This class seemed like a perfect way to try it out, especially since a good friend was the teacher and my friends were the the other participants.
Chevron was the fabric of the night!
However I had a floral fabric picked out by my 5 year old daughter. We plan to use the bag as our pool tote!
The teacher just happens to be Amy, a popular blogger and oh-so-talented seamstress. She makes up her own patterns and is always whipping up the most delightful (and enviable) outfits for her little girl.
Well worth the effort though, here are the finished products!
Can't wait for next month's project. I'm even thinking about getting my own sewing machine!

What part of az does she live?! Do you know if she does other sewing classes?! How awesome!
ReplyDeleteHello AZ girl. She's in Phoenix and has sewing classes 2x a month right now (one project per month, offered on 2 different nights). We'll be doing decorative throw pillows in May. :)
DeleteAlso, I checked with her and right now she is only going the classes with friends. But, if this changes I'll let you know! In the meantime I'll post links to the projects we're doing, she has the free patterns on her blog.
DeleteLooks like a great time with girlfriends!
ReplyDeleteYes please keep me updated if she decides to offer classes... I used to do sew classes with a few friends of mine but the ladystopped doing them:( I have learned basic sewing but still need help and practice! Keep blogging about your sew projects!! Hahaha I will look at those tutorials!
